global illumination, trendy diets, and a new russia?

The Intelligence

After a whirlwind of a week filled with big news stories, I wanted to recommend one of my favourite news podcasts that go really in-depth on topics from all around the world. The Economist uses their network of correspondants from all over the world to deliver interesting insights and perspectives. Episodes are released every weekday so keep an eye out for todays. I also recently listened to the 'Playing his Trump card: Bolsonaro and the election' which was fascinating.

Fed Up

Another podcast about crazy scams... from Wondery. This time it is about a diet called the F-Factor which features a story about wealth, wellness, and influence. The podcast follows an investigative journalist who realises that this diet is in fact giving people terrible side effects, ultimately the story blows up and involves lawsuits, feuds, and the national media. Binge-worthy.

Another Russia

Boris Nemtsov was a critic of Putin, the Kremlin, and war in Ukraine. Then, he was assasinated. His daughter, journalist Zhanna Nemtsova, and co-host Ben Rhodes tell his story to find out what happened to an entire country – and what happens next. Is another Russia possible? (Thanks Max for the recommendation).

Good morning! Thanks for reading (and hopefully thanks for listening!) ✌🏼 Have a great week and please feel free to recommend a podcast below (I'll be sending out merch/stickers to those that recommend!)

As always, you can find the podcasts that have been recommended in the podcast everything sheet, and I'd recommend to filter for the category you're looking for 😎 It is updated every week so have a look. (to be updated later today!) 🤷‍♂️🎉
