#2 Ukraine 馃嚭馃嚘

This is a podcast that was relatively unknown and listened to by a niche group. However, since the war in Ukraine began, it has attracted a wider audience and provides an interesting perspective on the current events. Host, Ryan Evans speaks with soldiers, spies, officials, and scholars on a range of issues related to strategy, defense, and foreign affairs.

This podcast contains a collection of daily messages from inside Ukraine as the Russian invasion unfolds. It really does give you a sense of what it may be like, and is incredibly sad, but also heart-warming at times. Tortoise Media consistently release great podcasts based around news, politics, society and culture - find them here.

Jonny Dymond tells the extraordinary and revealing story of Vladimir Putin's life with the help of guests who have watched, studied and dealt with the Russian president.

I also wanted to direct you to an interesting article that links both podcasts and Ukraine, specifically, how the Russian invasion has led to a huge number of podcasts popping up - potentially as a new medium for following the news - read here.
